An Meitheal Mór ‘Dreaming Vessels’

By Leave a Comment

This is one from the archives but recently I came across some photos of the galway woodturmers largest exhibition to date. Taking almost 12 months to create. In February 2015 the exhibition was put on display in Galway University in the James Hardiman Library as part of the 15th annual Múscailt Festival. The design is a abstract half scale of the Claddagh Hooker.

The full exhibition was made remotely in Pete’s workshop. It was then dismantled and reassembled on site.

A truly amazing exhibition and example of what can be achieved by a group of people with the same interests working together ‘An Meitheal Mór’ to create something for themselves and for everyone who wants to be part of it, overcoming all challenges along the way to build something beautiful.
